$0.00
The interview of the century is a go—if the anchorman can stay conscious.
YMI News anchor Dennis Doanahow has the scoop of a lifetime: an exclusive with Santa Claus. There’s just one problem. Dennis has developed a severe case of “Claus-trophobia,” passing out cold the moment he sees a red suit. Accompanied by his skeptical co-anchor Sheila Blabberman, Dennis heads to the North Pole for a hilarious holiday mission involving giant elves, shoe-obsessed Mrs Claus, and a cure that only Santa could dream up.

Synopsis
Dennis Doanahow, YMI News anchorman, has landed the interview of the century. Santa! He’s been invited to the North Pole to interview… Santa!
But his co-anchor, Sheila Blabberman, won’t stand for Dennis being able to get the interview of the century on his own. She insists on going with him. Only problem?… Sheila is Jewish and really doesn’t get the whole Christmas thing.
While trekking the arctic tundra, they meet up with Blitzen who was sent to escort them the rest of the way to Santa’s workshop. However, once Dennis realizes he’s almost there, he suddenly hyperventilates and passes out cold. Oh no! Dennis has developed a case of Claus-trophobia!
Claus-trophobia (definition) – Over exuberance, panic, and fear of actually meeting Santa causing hyperventilation and loss of consciousness.
In other words, Dennis will never be able to get the interview of the century because every time he sees Santa he blacks out instantly. They’re going to have to figure out the cause of his illness in order to solve it. But remember, Santa can solve anything because, after all, he is Santa!
Oddly enough, while all this is going on, Sheila forms a real bond with Mrs. Claus over the subjects of shoes, chocolate, and re-gifting after which she and Santa get to know each other after bringing jewelry into the conversation.
But, the problem still remains. How are we going to keep Dennis conscious long enough to get the interview with Santa, and what’s causing his problem to begin with?
Then, with the help of Blitzen, Santa comes up with a great way to fix everything.
Of course, there are the occasional convoluted explanations of life and such by the lovable Mrs. Claus. And we mustn’t forget our three unusual elves; Ralph, the six foot tall elf manager, Bella, our elderly but spry lady elf and, The New Kid, a twelve year old little girl.
And, in the end, Dennis finally gets his interview, Sheila and Dennis actually become friends, and 150 puppies get delivered on Christmas Eve.
What could be bad?

COSTUMES
Santa wears his Santa pants, boots, a long-sleeved grey T-shirt and suspenders throughout the show. For the last scene, he comes out fully dressed and ready to “take off”.
Mrs. Claus and the elves are self-explanatory.
As for the reindeer (CUPID), you can use reindeer costumes but, we encourage a bit of creativity.
CPUID – Leather Biker Jacket with “Sons of” in the top rocker and “The North Pole” in the bottom rocker with some sort of art around a red and white striped pole (The North Pole), with Jeans and a very fake looking set of antlers that have a strap going under his chin..
