Synopsis

The year is 1989 and, once again, Radio Station “CUNL” is bringing you their weekly “Chiller Thriller”… “DEEP IN THE CLOSET… AND UNDER THE BED!” Broadcasting from their station in Poughkeepsie, New York.

This week’s episode is being broadcast “live” from the Applegate Mansion where, in 1938, a series of questionable deaths occurred resulting in the mass haunting of the mansion.

An “anonymous source” has sent the radio station an irresistible script for the radio station to perform with previously undisclosed information that has been hidden away all these years that will expose the truth about what actually happened there and… who knows… perhaps all the spirits will finally be able to move on.

But!… Will our “all-star” radio station cast live through the experience?

Mwaaaaah haha!!! You’ll have to wait and see!!!

DIRECTOR’S NOTES

The Director is given discretion with regard to how the ghost appearances and other illusions are performed. The script offers instructions but, if changes are needed in order to make things happen in your theater properly, then it may be a great opportunity for your company to show how creative they can get.

The only thing the writer’s request is that you stay true to the overall presentation of the story.

PLEASE NOTE: Throughout the script, you will see reference to the HOUSE LIGHTS being used quite frequently. The purpose is to emphasize when the audience is present or when the CAST is alone without the audience there. If this method is not found useful, you may handle this any way you find it necessary.
